From south to north, the continuous Cangshan Mountains in Dali form nineteen peaks and eighteen streams. People only pay attention to the famous Erhai Lake and the eastern foot of Cangshan Mountain facing it, but few know that there is a small paradise-like town called Yangbi hidden in the western foot of Cangshan Mountain. There are few people here and the scenery is beautiful. It includes both natural scenery and cultural relics. It is a real treasure secret place! 1️⃣Shimen Pass The wonders of the canyon praised by Xu Xiake are very shocking. The two peaks that rise from the ground by knives and axes are like two stone gates, guarding the main road leading to Cangshan Mountain and are known as the "Gate of Cangshan Mountain". The scenery along the way is rich and varied, with towering rock walls, waterfalls, dense forests and valleys, and hot springs in the valleys. It is like a fairyland. 2️⃣ Yunlong Bridge, Bonan Ancient Trail Yangbi still preserves the Bonan Ancient Road that began in the Qin and Han Dynasties, which is a southwestern Silk Road leading to Myanmar and India. The bumpy stone road and the unrepaired old houses on both sides are full of traces of time. Along the Bonan Ancient Road, you can reach the Yunlong Bridge built in the Tang Dynasty, which is still well preserved after thousands of years of vicissitudes. 3️⃣ Cloud Village Yangbi is the hometown of walnuts in China. Following the winding mountain road from Guangming Village, there is a walnut kingdom far away from the hustle and bustle. There are ancient walnut trees with a age of 300 to 500 years all over the mountains, and there is even a walnut tree king that is 1,160 years old! The mountains are full of flowers and greenery. This is the place where Yangbizhi "reaches the clouds". 4️⃣ Cangshan West Slope Garden The Grand Garden on the west slope of Cangshan Mountain is known as a paradise for rhododendrons. When the rhododendron season comes, rhododendrons of various colors bloom one after another all over the mountains, especially the red tree rhododendrons that burn like fire, which is extremely beautiful and spectacular.
